How Our Detection Works
Understanding the patterns we look for
Our detection system analyzes text for linguistic patterns commonly found in AI-generated content. We look at factors like sentence structure variation, vocabulary consistency, transition word usage, and overall writing flow. These patterns can indicate AI generation, but they're not definitive proof.
What we detect: We identify patterns such as repetitive sentence structures, overly uniform vocabulary, formulaic transitions, and text that feels "too polished" or lacks natural imperfections. These are common characteristics of AI-generated text, but human writers can sometimes exhibit similar patterns, especially in formal or technical writing.
What we don't detect: We cannot definitively prove that text is AI-generated. Our analysis is based on pattern recognition, not absolute determination. Some AI-generated text may not show these patterns, and some human-written text may exhibit them. We're constantly training and improving our models, but detection is an evolving challenge as AI writing becomes more sophisticated.
Our approach: We use AI models to analyze writing patterns and compare them against what we've learned from both AI-generated and human-written text. We're continuously refining our detection methods and training our models on new examples.
